Good connections start with clear expectations.
Buy Local Food Montana helps you find food, meet suppliers and make plans. Here is how those connections work.
Buying happens with the seller
Each seller handles their own orders, payments, pickup, delivery, changes and refunds. This site does not take payment or reserve food. There are no purchasing fees or paid placement here.
Read the price, purchase unit, availability and date checked together. Confirm the arrangements with the seller before ordering or making a trip. A nearby business does not necessarily deliver to you, and a Montana seller’s address does not establish where its food was grown or made.
Find food & buying optionsA saved plan is yours to act on
Food lists and recurring needs help you organize what you want. Saving something does not place an order, hold a price or contact a supplier. Recurring needs create drafts for you to review and send.
Device lists stay in the browser where you saved them. Optional accounts let you keep lists and suppliers in a personal or shared space. Other active members of an organization space can use its shared information.
Share information you can stand behind
Provide accurate business and sourcing details. Submit only photographs and text you have permission to share, and leave out personal information unrelated to the request. Photographs and other content remain the property of their respective owners; their appearance here does not grant permission to reuse them.
A business application starts a review. Material changes to approved listings also need review. A seller can immediately pause their own listings.
Introductions and food support
Hopa Mountain reviews sourcing requests and the information shared in each opening introduction. Buyers and selected suppliers can then reply in their own private conversation, with access for authorized staff. A request does not guarantee a match, response or purchase.
Food-support providers explain their own eligibility, hours and available services. Check the provider’s current information before traveling. Browsing food support does not require an account or start an application for assistance.

Use only accounts and records you are authorized to access. Do not misuse another person’s information or disrupt the service. When you follow a link to a seller or another organization, that service’s own practices apply.
