A grower finding a customer. A pantry buying from a nearby producer. A family cooking a meal. Hopa Mountain’s Local Food for Local Families program connects these everyday needs.
The program supports and connects producers, food hubs, food pantries and other nonprofit partners to increase access to Montana grown and processed agricultural products. Its work includes a food hub network, resources for emerging businesses and cooperation with the Montana Food Pantry Collaborative.
Buy Local Food Montana is a public website for that work: a place to find food, understand how to buy it and make a local connection.

Buy directly from the seller
Find a food, check its package and price, then order through the seller’s own website, phone or pickup arrangement. Purchases happen with the seller. Buy Local Food Montana charges no fee, takes no payment and accepts no paid placement.
A business’s town does not establish where every food was grown or made, or where it can be delivered. Read the food’s origin and agree on pickup or delivery with the seller.

You can send a sourcing request for Hopa to review. After Hopa approves an introduction, you and the supplier can reply privately on the site, with Hopa’s access disclosed to both.

Food details come from sellers. Community and food-support details come from providers and organizers. Look for the source and review date, and confirm current arrangements before you go.
Food and buying details
Listings come from permitted seller marketplaces and reviewed introductions from farms and food businesses. Sellers remain responsible for their current food and prices. If a connected seller withdraws permission, its listings leave the site.
Check the listed package, price and availability before buying. Unknown origin or buying details stay unknown until there is evidence to clarify them.

Published provider and organizer information supplies contact details, visiting arrangements and review dates. Providers decide eligibility; this site helps you find the right conversation. Statewide starting points remain available where local information is limited.
