Gallatin Valley Botanical

Matt and Jacy Rothschiller began growing vegetables on two leased acres near Manhattan in 2003. Their farm grew alongside the families, chefs and market shoppers they supplied. In 2017 they brought the neighboring Rocky Creek Farm into Gallatin Valley Botanical, creating the 57-acre farm they run today.

Vegetables and flowers share the farm with sheep, pigs, laying hens, chickens, berries and an apple orchard. Cover crops, crop rotation and compost help replenish the soil. The farm also carries on Rocky Creek traditions such as cider pressing, a pumpkin patch, farm visits and seasonal U-pick berries.
