Pears - D'Anjou

These pears are delicious, ripe, and ready to eat, yum! This organic fruit is made available through Winter Kissed Farm who has established a wonderful working relationship with this regional grower. From Whitestone Mountain Orchard: Our growing methods are guided by biodynamic and regenerative farming principles. We view our orchard as a dynamic, unique system and we farm in a way that supports the health and vitality of the whole system, above and below ground. We recycle our on farm nutrients, creating our own compost from culled fruit and wood chippings from our annual tree prunings. We have set aside 5 acres of orchard for native plantings to enhance pollinator and beneficial insect habitat. Scattered throughout the 100 acres, are raptor poles for the owls and numerous hawks who help us keep our rodent population in balance. The result of our farming practices is fruit which is has superior taste, nutritional quality and sustained freshness. We are proud to be a certified Real Organic Project farm.
