Applesauce
Apples, water and optional cinnamon make a simple batch of applesauce to serve now or keep in the refrigerator.

Let’s make it
- Wash your hands and prepare a clean work surface. Core and dice the apples; peel them first if you prefer.
- Put apples and water in a covered pot. Cook over medium-low heat until tender, about 25 minutes.
- Remove from heat and cool for about 10 minutes. Stir, then mash with a fork or potato masher. Add cinnamon if using.
- Serve, or refrigerate in a covered container for up to 4 days.
